Haworth Park is Bellevue's lakeside gem that offers families a full day of outdoor fun without breaking the bank. Late spring through early fall (May-September) for beach and water activities, with weekday mornings being least crowded. Summer evenings offer cooler temperatures and beautiful sunset views over the lake, perfect for family picnics after the office hours close.

Note the limited hours (9 AM-5 PM weekdays only, closed weekends) which may restrict access for working families,plan accordingly. Free admission and ample parking make this an budget-friendly option, but facilities and restrooms are only available during operational hours.

The beach area is most popular Memorial Day through Labor Day. Fall offers beautiful foliage along the trails with fewer crowds. Winter visits are possible during open hours for scenic walks, but facilities may be limited and the park is closed weekends year-round.

Head to Culver's (about 2 miles away) for kid-friendly frozen custard and burgers, or try Bella's Pizza for family-style Italian just a short drive from the park,both offer casual dining perfect for hungry kids after a day outdoors.
