The trails are free to access and open daily from dawn to dusk (note that the district office has limited weekday hours but this doesn't affect trail access). Trails are open year-round, though winter months may have snow and ice accumulation. Spring offers blooming wildflowers and active wildlife, while fall brings stunning foliage colors. Summer can be hot and humid, so plan early morning or evening visits during June-August.
