Bike rentals are not included and must be arranged separately (expect 10 to 15 euros per bike per day). The island is easily accessible by car via causeway or by ferry from Volendam. Limited dining options exist on the small island, so consider bringing picnic supplies.

Best visited April through October when weather is mild and daylight hours are longer. Winter months (November to March) can be cold, windy, and rainy, making cycling less enjoyable. The park is open year-round but cycling in harsh weather is not recommended for families.
