Spring and fall offer the best wildlife viewing with migrating birds and comfortable temperatures. Weekday mornings (10 AM opening) provide the quietest trails and most active wildlife before the preserve gets busy.
Admission is free, making this an excellent budget-friendly outing. Parking is available on-site, and while there are no food vendors, picnic areas are available so pack snacks and water for your adventure.
Open year-round Wednesday through Sunday. Spring brings migrating birds and wildflowers, summer offers lush green trails, fall features spectacular foliage, and winter provides peaceful snowshoeing opportunities. Note the preserve is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
