Early morning (7-10am) during spring and fall offers the best wildlife viewing when animals are most active and temperatures are comfortable. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends, and autumn brings stunning foliage colors that make the river overlooks especially photogenic.

Admission is free with no entrance fee. Facilities are basic with limited restrooms, so plan accordingly. Bring your own snacks and water as there are no concessions on-site.

Open year-round from dawn to dusk. Spring migration (April-May) brings exceptional birdwatching opportunities. Summer offers lush green trails but more bugs. Fall foliage (late September-October) is spectacular. Winter trails are open for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing when conditions permit.
