Spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) provide ideal weather and peak migration activity. Weekend mornings fill up faster, so arrive right at 9:00 AM opening for the calmest experience.

Admission is free, making this an excellent budget-friendly family outing. Parking is available on-site. There are no food concessions, so pack snacks and water. Note that the conservancy is closed Mondays.

Spring and fall are prime seasons for bird migration and comfortable hiking weather. Summer offers lush greenery but can be buggy and humid near the marshes. Winter visits are quieter and great for spotting waterfowl, though some trails may be muddy or icy. Check ahead for seasonal family programs and special events.
