Spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) offer the best visiting conditions with comfortable temperatures, vibrant seasonal colors, and peak bird migration activity. Weekday mornings provide the most peaceful experience and best chances for wildlife spotting.

Admission is free. Limited parking is available at the small lot on Taylor Station Road, so arrive early during peak times. There are no facilities, restrooms, or food available on-site, so plan accordingly.

Spring brings wildflowers and migrating birds, while fall features beautiful foliage colors. Summer can be humid with more insects. Trails remain open year-round, but winter visits require appropriate cold-weather gear. The preserve is especially beautiful after light snowfall.

Creekside District in downtown Gahanna (about 2 miles away) offers numerous family-friendly options including Starbucks, Chipotle, and local favorites like The Taj Palace for casual dining after your nature adventure.
