1. 1.Call ahead to reserve your boats, especially on weekends, as they can book up quickly during summer months
2. 2.Bring water shoes or sandals with straps (no flip-flops!) as kids will get wet stepping in and out of boats
3. 3.Pack waterproof bags or cases for phones, snacks, and sunscreen,splashing is inevitable and part of the fun
4. 4.Apply sunscreen before arriving and bring extra, as reflection off the water intensifies sun exposure
5. 5.Choose morning trips when possible as the river is calmer and kids have more energy early in the day

Late spring through early fall (May-September) offers ideal weather and water conditions. Weekday mornings are less crowded than weekends, and the 10:00 AM opening time is perfect for beating afternoon heat while giving kids time to wake up and eat breakfast first.

Life jackets are provided for all ages as part of the rental. The outfitter transports you to launch points and picks you up downstream, so you won't need to paddle back upstream,perfect for tiring out energetic kids without exhausting them completely!

Open daily 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM from spring through fall. River conditions are best May through September. Operations may be suspended during high water or severe weather,always call ahead to confirm. Early season (May) can have cooler water temperatures, so consider wetsuits for kids.

Head to Caesar Creek Flea Market (10 minutes away) for casual food vendors and treats, or stop at Young's Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs (20 minutes) for their famous homemade ice cream and family-friendly farm atmosphere,perfect for celebrating your paddling adventure.
