Late spring through early fall (May to October) offers the best weather for creek exploration and trail hiking. Visit on weekday mornings to avoid weekend crowds and enjoy quieter wildlife viewing. Early mornings in autumn provide stunning foliage and active wildlife.

This is a free park with ample parking available. Bring your own snacks and water as there are no on-site food vendors, but picnic facilities are available throughout the park. Trails are mostly natural surfaces, so strollers work best on main paths.

Best visited from May through October when weather is pleasant and the creek is most accessible. Winter visits are possible for snowshoeing and winter nature walks, but facilities may be limited. Creek levels vary by season, with spring offering the most water flow. Fall foliage in September and October is spectacular.

Head to nearby downtown Ajax (5 minutes away) for family-friendly options like Boston Pizza or Tim Hortons for a classic Canadian coffee and Timbits experience. Alternatively, pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the park's many picnic areas.
