Scouters Mountain Nature Park offers 60 acres of Pacific Northwest forest perfect for introducing kids to outdoor exploration. 1. 1.Park at the main trailhead on SE Honorable Way where you'll find the easiest access to family-friendly trails and a small picnic area

Spring and early fall offer the most comfortable temperatures and driest trails. Weekday mornings are least crowded, making wildlife spotting easier. Avoid midday summer visits as the exposed meadow areas can get hot, though the forested sections provide nice shade.

The park is free to visit with limited parking at the trailhead. There are no restrooms or water fountains, so come prepared. Trails are natural surface and not stroller-friendly,bring a hiking carrier for toddlers.

Spring brings wildflowers and migrating birds, while fall offers beautiful foliage. Trails can be muddy and slippery during Oregon's rainy season (November-March). Summer is pleasant under the forest canopy but bring sun protection for open areas. Park closes at 6 PM year-round.
