Weekday mornings (9-11 AM) offer the best experience with fewer crowds and cooler temperatures in summer. Fall (September-October) is spectacular for hiking with gorgeous foliage, while summer weekends bring the full buzz of activity at the beach and splash pad.

Parking is free throughout the park with multiple lots serving different areas. No admission fee to enter. Concessions are available seasonally near the pool, but bringing your own snacks and picnic supplies is recommended for longer visits.

The splash pad and beach operate Memorial Day through Labor Day. The outdoor pool requires separate admission. Fall and spring offer ideal hiking conditions with fewer crowds. Winter brings opportunities for sledding and snow play when conditions permit, though some facilities close seasonally.

Nied's Hotel Bar & Restaurant (5 minutes away) offers classic American comfort food with a kid-friendly atmosphere, while Eat'n Park on Route 8 provides reliable family dining with an extensive kids menu and free Smiley cookies.
