1. 1.Arrive early (before 9am) to claim a good spot with shade and avoid the midday heat and crowds. Beach chairs and umbrellas typically cost 100-200 baht for the day.

3. 3.The southern end of the beach near the Novotel is calmer and more family-friendly than the busier central stretch where most water sports operators congregate.
4. 4.Negotiate prices with beach vendors before agreeing to services. Water sports and massages are usually negotiable, and vendors expect some friendly bargaining.

Visit November to April during dry season for the best weather and calm seas. Mornings (7am-10am) offer cooler temperatures and smaller crowds. Avoid monsoon season (May-October) when rough seas make swimming dangerous.

The beach is free to access, but expect to pay for umbrella/chair rentals (100-200 baht). Many beachfront restaurants welcome families and offer Western and Thai kid-friendly options. Changing facilities and restrooms are available at restaurants (small fee or free with purchase).

Best visited November through April during dry season when seas are calm and safe for children. May to October brings monsoon rains and dangerous surf with red flags prohibiting swimming. The beach can get extremely crowded during Chinese New Year and Christmas holidays.
