Nahargarh Fort

Nahargarh Fort is a magnificent 18th-century fortress perched on the Aravalli Hills, offering families an exciting blend of history and adventure. Entry fees are nominal (around 50 rupees for Indians, 200 rupees for foreign tourists, with additional camera fees). Limited food options inside, so bring snacks. The access road is steep and winding, and while you can drive up, parking is limited during peak times.

Best visited October to March when temperatures are pleasant (15 to 25 degrees Celsius). April to June can be extremely hot (40+ degrees Celsius) and challenging for children. Monsoon season (July to September) can make paths slippery but offers lush green scenery. The fort remains open year-round with consistent hours daily.

The fort has a rooftop restaurant called Nahargarh Fort Cafe with decent views and basic Indian and continental options.
