This is a free, open-access natural area with no facilities, so bring water, snacks, and use restrooms before arriving. Parking is available near the entrance. The paths are mostly flat and suitable for strollers, but some sections may be unpaved.

Accessible year-round, but spring and early summer offer the most active wildlife and blooming wildflowers. Winter visits can be beautiful but require warm clothing. Some paths may be muddy or flooded during heavy rain periods in spring and autumn.

Head to Anthering village center (2 km away) for Gasthof Gruber, a traditional Austrian restaurant with schnitzel and other kid-friendly options. Alternatively, Salzburg city center is only 15 minutes away by car with numerous family dining choices.
