Best Time to Visit

Arrive early morning or late afternoon to avoid midday heat and catch the most spectacular lighting on the formations. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends during summer peak season.
What to Know
The park is open 24 hours with no entrance station hours, and the 7-day pass is $30 per vehicle or free with an America the Beautiful Pass. There are no restaurants or gas stations within the park, so fuel up and pack food in Wall or Interior before entering.
Seasonal Notes
The park is open year-round, but winter brings snow, ice, and road closures with limited services. Summer (June-August) offers full programming but extreme heat; spring and fall provide the most comfortable weather. Some unpaved roads close during wet conditions. Visitor centers have reduced winter hours.
