East Coast Park

East Coast Park is Singapore's premier beachfront playground stretching 15 kilometers along the coast, offering endless family fun from sunrise to sunset (and beyond!). With dedicated cycling paths, multiple playgrounds, splash pads to cool off in Singapore's tropical heat, and sandy beaches perfect for sandcastle building, this massive park gives families plenty of space to spread out and enjoy outdoor adventures without spending a cent.

Weekday mornings (7am to 10am) or late afternoons after 4pm offer the most comfortable temperatures and smaller crowds. Avoid weekends and public holidays when BBQ areas and cycling paths can get very busy. The cooler months from November to February are slightly more comfortable than the hot, humid summer months.

The park is completely free and open 24 hours, though facilities like bike rentals operate during daytime hours only. Numerous food courts and hawker stalls are available throughout, plus toilets and changing facilities at regular intervals. Taxis and ride-shares can easily access all car park areas.

Singapore has consistent tropical weather year-round, so the park is always open and accessible. November to February offers slightly cooler temperatures and less rainfall. Avoid visiting during afternoon thunderstorms, which are common from April to September. The park hosts occasional events and festivals, particularly during school holidays.

Marine Cove at Car Park E1 features multiple family-friendly restaurants including hawker-style food courts with local favorites like satay and chicken rice. The East Coast Lagoon Food Village (near Car Park E) is a beloved hawker center offering affordable, authentic Singaporean dishes where kids can try local specialties in a casual, open-air setting.
