The park typically has a small entrance fee (check current rates). Parking is available on-site. No food vendors inside, so pack your own lunch and snacks. Restroom facilities are basic but available.

The dry season (May to September) offers the most comfortable hiking conditions with less humidity and fewer mosquitoes. Heavy rains during summer months (December to March) can cause trail closures. Note the park is closed Mondays and Tuesdays for maintenance.

Pack a picnic to enjoy at designated areas within the park. For meals before or after, head back toward Sao Bernardo do Campo center where you will find kid-friendly Brazilian restaurants serving simple fare like rice, beans, grilled chicken, and fresh fruit.
