Entrance is completely free and the park is open 24/7. The nearest MRT station is Daan Park Station (exit 5) on the brown line, making it easily accessible without a car. Bring sun protection, bug spray during summer, and cash for nearby convenience stores as most facilities inside are free.

Summer (June-September) can be very hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms, so bring sunscreen, hats, and plan for indoor breaks. Winter (December-February) is mild and pleasant but pack light jackets for evenings. The park occasionally hosts family-friendly events during holidays and weekends.

Yongkang Street, a 10-minute walk or short MRT ride away, offers numerous family-friendly restaurants including Din Tai Fung (famous soup dumplings that kids enjoy watching being made) and smoothie shops. The neighborhood around the park has many convenience stores and casual Taiwanese eateries with high chairs and welcoming atmospheres.
