Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum

The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is the largest history museum in Texas and a treasure trove for curious kids! With six stories of exhibits ranging from dinosaur fossils and pioneer life displays to vintage cars and Native American artifacts, there's something to capture every child's imagination. Admission is very affordable at around $12.50 for adults and $7.50 for children (4-12), with kids under 4 free. Free parking is available directly in front of the museum, and the facility is wheelchair accessible with elevators to all floors.

Open year-round with consistent hours. The museum hosts special events during spring break and summer months with additional kids' programming. Holiday closures include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
