Multiple free parking lots throughout but they fill completely on nice weekends. Arrive before 10 AM or consider biking/rideshare. Paid parking ($3-5) available at Barton Springs Pool lot. Multiple restroom facilities throughout park. Barton Springs has full bathrooms and changing areas. Other park restrooms are basic but functional. Paved trails throughout main areas make strollers easy. Some grassy areas and trails are rougher. Definitely stroller-friendly overall. Paved trails and main areas accessible. Trail of Lights in December transforms the park into a magical holiday display. Zilker Eagle and Barton Springs have reduced hours in winter. Austin City Limits Music Festival takes over the park two weekends in October. Summer weekends are packed but magical for water activities.

Barton Springs Road has food trailers and casual spots. Short drive to South Lamar's food scene including Torchy's Tacos, Chuy's, and Uchi. Many families pack picnics to maximize park time.
