General admission is very affordable (typically under $20 for adults, less for kids), and parking is available in nearby lots along the waterfront. The ship has a small café for snacks, but bringing water bottles is recommended. Note that the venue is not stroller or wheelchair accessible due to the numerous stairs and narrow passageways.

Open year-round with consistent hours, but summer months (June-August) can be extremely hot on the open flight deck. The ship hosts special events around Veterans Day and Memorial Day with ceremonies and additional activities. Winter months offer the most comfortable exploration conditions.

The nearby Waterfront restaurants along Shoreline Boulevard offer family-friendly options within a 5-minute drive, including Landry's Seafood House and Doc's Seafood & Steaks, both with kids' menus and waterfront views.
