River Grove Park offers families a serene escape into nature right along the beautiful San Jacinto River in Kingwood. The park is free to visit with accessible parking at the Woodland Hills Drive entrance. There are no food vendors on-site, so pack snacks and plenty of water for your hike. Restroom facilities are available but limited.

Spring (March-May) offers the best wildflower displays and comfortable hiking weather. Summer can be very hot and humid, making early morning visits essential. Fall brings beautiful foliage and cooler temperatures. Trails may be muddy or closed after heavy rains, so check conditions before visiting.
