This is a basic, no-frills beach with limited facilities, so come prepared with everything you need including food, drinks, shade, and life jackets for young swimmers. Parking is available near the beach area at 200 Wirtz Dam Rd.

Best visited May through September when temperatures are warm enough for swimming. Lake levels can fluctuate seasonally, affecting beach size. Spring and fall offer pleasant weather for picnicking even if water is too cool for swimming.
