Spring (March-May) and fall (October-November) offer the most comfortable weather for extended outdoor play. Weekday mornings are quietest, while Saturday and Sunday mornings (7-10 AM) provide a lively atmosphere without overwhelming crowds. Avoid midday summer visits when temperatures soar.

Parking is free and readily available in multiple lots throughout the park. Bring your own food and drinks for picnics, as there are no on-site food vendors. Restroom facilities are available, and the paved trails are stroller and wheelchair accessible.

Summer months (June-August) can be extremely hot,plan morning or evening visits and bring plenty of water. The park is beautiful in spring when wildflowers bloom along the trails. Winter visits are pleasant on mild days, though playground equipment may be cold to the touch.

Head to Whataburger (less than 2 miles away) for Texas-style burgers that kids love, or try Fuzzy's Taco Shop for casual Tex-Mex with a kids' menu and relaxed atmosphere.
