1. 1.Book your ride early in the day during summer months to avoid the intense afternoon heat and ensure better availability
2. 2.Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes with a small heel (riding boots or sturdy sneakers work well) to protect legs from saddle chafing
3. 3.Apply sunscreen liberally before your ride and bring a hat,there's limited shade on the trails
4. 4.Arrive 15-20 minutes early to meet your horse, get fitted for equipment, and receive safety instructions without feeling rushed
5. 5.Bring a camera or smartphone in a secure pocket or bag to capture the incredible red rock views, but keep hands free for holding reins

Spring (March-May) and fall (September-October) offer the most comfortable temperatures for horseback riding. Morning rides are ideal as temperatures are cooler and the lighting is perfect for photos of Moab's red rocks.

Reservations are required and should be made in advance, especially during peak tourist season. Riders typically must meet minimum age and sometimes weight requirements for safety reasons.

While rides may be offered year-round weather permitting, spring and fall are peak seasons. Summer rides are available but can be very hot,early morning or evening rides are preferred. Winter rides may be limited due to weather conditions and should be confirmed in advance.
