Weekday mornings (9:00-11:00 AM) are ideal for avoiding crowds and seeing birds at their most active. Spring and fall offer the most comfortable weather for walking the outdoor paths, though the aviary is lovely year-round with some indoor exhibits.

General admission is around $12 for adults and $9 for children (3-12), with kids under 3 free. Free parking is available in Liberty Park lots adjacent to the aviary, and while there's a small café on-site, many families pack snacks to enjoy in the surrounding park.

Open year-round with consistent hours. Summer can be hot on the open pathways, so bring hats and water. The aviary hosts special events like "Haunted Aviary" in October and holiday-themed activities in December that are especially popular with families.
