Admission is free to the visitor center and all trails. Ample free parking is available on-site. There are no food facilities, so pack snacks and water for your visit.

The visitor center is closed Mondays and Tuesdays year-round. Trails are accessible daily dawn to dusk even when the center is closed. Spring and fall offer the most pleasant weather, while summer can be hot with limited trail shade. Special living history events occasionally occur on battle anniversary dates in early June.
