Admission and parking are completely free. The grounds are stroller-friendly with paved paths, though restrooms are basic. Bring your own snacks and drinks as there are no food vendors, but downtown Leavenworth is just 3 miles away for meals.

Open year-round, but the most exciting time is late summer through fall (August-October) when adult salmon return to spawn. Spring offers views of young fish being released. Winter visits are quieter but still interesting, with hardy fish visible in the ponds.
