This is a free, no-frills picnic area with basic facilities only. There are no shops, restaurants, or playgrounds on site, so come fully prepared with all supplies, and note that mobile phone signal can be spotty at this elevation.

Best visited during spring (September-November) and autumn (March-May) when temperatures are mild. Summer can be very hot with little shade. Winter (June-August) can be cold and wet with strong winds. Occasional trail closures may occur during extreme weather or fire danger days.
