The beach is free to access with no admission fees. Public restrooms are available but basic, so consider visiting facilities at nearby hotels if needed. Street food vendors line the promenade offering affordable snacks, but ensure food is freshly cooked. Parking can be challenging, so consider using a tuk-tuk or ride-sharing app.

The beach is accessible year-round, but the southwest monsoon season (May to September) brings rougher seas and occasional rain. The best weather is during the dry season from December to March. During Sinhala and Tamil New Year (mid-April), expect very large crowds and festive atmosphere.
