Uferweg offers a delightful, mostly flat lakeside path around the picturesque Greifensee lake, perfect for family walks, bike rides, and gentle outdoor adventures. The scenic 6.8 km loop features stunning water views, wildlife spotting opportunities (including waterfowl and swans), and plenty of grassy areas for picnic breaks, making it an ideal way to experience the natural beauty of the Zurich region with children of all ages.

The path is free to access with parking available in Uster or surrounding villages (expect to pay for parking, 2-5 CHF per hour). Bring your own snacks and water as facilities are limited along the route, and note that most signage is in German.

Best enjoyed April through October when weather is mild. Winter visits are possible but can be cold and muddy. Spring brings blooming wildflowers, while fall offers stunning foliage. The path remains open year-round but snow and ice may make sections challenging in winter months.
