Weekday mornings during spring or fall offer the best experience with smaller crowds and comfortable temperatures. Summer weekends can be busier but offer the longest operating hours and best weather for outdoor deck exploration.

Admission is very affordable (budget-friendly for families), and free parking is available nearby at the Quay. The vessel has steep stairs and ladders between decks, so it may not be accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. No food service on board, but many options steps away at the River Market.

Open seasonally from May through September, with limited hours. The museum may have reduced hours or closures in shoulder seasons (May and September), so check ahead. Best visited in summer for full operating schedule. The vessel is exposed to elements, so not ideal during rainy weather.

The Westminster Quay Public Market adjacent to the boat offers numerous family-friendly food vendors, from fish and chips to Asian cuisine. The River Market Food Court has high chairs and casual seating perfect for families with young children.
