Emma Prusch Farm Park

Emma Prusch Farm Park offers an authentic working farm experience right in the heart of San Jose, where kids can get up close with farm animals, explore antique farm equipment, and even pick their own fruits and vegetables during harvest season. This 43.5-acre urban farm provides hands-on agricultural education that connects children to where their food comes from, making it a perfect blend of outdoor fun and learning.

Visit on weekday mornings for a quieter experience, or come during harvest season (late spring through fall) for pick-your-own fruit opportunities. Early morning visits are ideal when animals are most active and temperatures are cooler.

The park is FREE to enter with free parking available on-site. Bring your own snacks and water as there are no food vendors, and restrooms are available near the main barn area.

Peak visiting time is during harvest seasons,strawberries in late spring, corn in summer, and pumpkins in fall. The annual Harvest Festival in October is extremely popular. Some crops and programs are only available seasonally, so check ahead. The park is open year-round but pick-your-own opportunities vary by season.

Taco Bravo (less than a mile away) offers casual Mexican food with a kid-friendly menu, or grab sandwiches and smoothies at Ike's Love & Sandwiches on nearby Alum Rock Avenue for a post-farm picnic elsewhere.
