Weekday mornings (9-11 AM) offer the most peaceful experience with easier parking and less crowded playgrounds. Spring (March-May) is ideal when wildflowers bloom and temperatures are comfortable for all-day play. Avoid Saturday and Sunday afternoons during summer when the park reaches capacity.
$6 parking fee per vehicle (free for County Parks pass holders). Restrooms and drinking fountains available throughout. Boat rentals operate seasonally with reasonable hourly rates. The park is stroller and wheelchair accessible on paved paths, though some trail areas are unpaved.
The miniature train and carousel typically operate weekends and holidays from March through October (weather permitting). Boat rentals are seasonal, usually April through October. Summer weekends can be extremely crowded. The park remains open year-round, making it a great winter destination when Bay Area weather cooperates.
