The trail is free to access with parking available at multiple trailheads. There are no restrooms or water fountains along the trail, so come prepared. The paved surface is stroller and wheelchair accessible, though the distance may be challenging for some.

Winter months (November-March) offer the best wildlife viewing as migratory birds arrive and cooler temperatures make alligators more visible. Summer can be extremely hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms. Avoid midday visits June through September.
