Parking and admission are completely free, though the lots fill quickly on sunny summer days. The park has restrooms, picnic pavilions, and grills available, but no food concessions on-site, so pack snacks and lunch or plan to drive to nearby restaurants.

The beach is accessible year-round, but lifeguards are only on duty from late June through mid-August. Swimming is best from June through September when water temperatures are warmest. The park makes a beautiful spot for fall beach walks and winter scenery, though facilities may be limited in colder months.

The Deck Downtown is a family-friendly spot about 10 minutes away with burgers, wraps, and a kids menu. For ice cream after the beach, stop at Nelson's Ice Cream just a short drive from the park.
