The park is completely free to enter and explore. Limited parking is available along surrounding streets, but walking or taking a taxi/Uber from nearby neighborhoods is often easier.

The park is open year-round. Summer (December to February) can be very hot, so morning visits are recommended. Winter (June to August) is mild but can be rainy, so pack layers and check weather forecasts before visiting.

La Pasiva, a family-friendly Uruguayan chain restaurant, is a short walk away and serves kid-approved chivitos (steak sandwiches) and milanesas. For ice cream, head to Heladeria Los Hispanos on nearby Avenida Rivera for traditional Uruguayan flavors that kids love.
