Cape May County Park & Zoo offers families an incredible opportunity to explore wildlife from around the world,completely free! With over 550 animals representing 250 species, plus walking paths through beautifully landscaped grounds, playgrounds, and interactive experiences, it's one of New Jersey's best-kept secrets for a full day of family adventure.

3. 3.Don't miss the African Savanna exhibit and time your visit around the 11:30 AM feeding demonstrations for the best viewing experience

Visit on weekday mornings during spring (April-May) or fall (September-October) for mild weather, fewer crowds, and the most active animals. Weekends get busy, especially in summer, so arrive early if visiting then.

Admission is completely FREE, though donations are welcomed. Free parking is available on-site. The snack bar offers basic food options, but most families bring picnics. The zoo is stroller and wheelchair accessible with paved pathways throughout.

Open year-round with reduced winter hours (call ahead for exact times). Spring and fall offer the most comfortable weather. Summer can be hot with less shade in some areas, so bring sun protection. The zoo hosts special events during holidays including Halloween and Christmas celebrations.
