Pittencrieff Park, affectionately known as 'The Glen' by locals, is a sprawling 76-acre Victorian treasure in the heart of Dunfermline that offers families a perfect blend of natural beauty and kid-friendly attractions. 1. 1.Enter through the ornate Louise Carnegie Gates on Bridge Street for the most impressive entrance and easy access to the main attractions.

3. 3.The park has multiple play areas, so walk through to find the one that suits your children's ages best. The newer playground near the pavilion is particularly popular.

The park is completely free to enter and open year-round from dawn to dusk. Public toilets are available near the pavilion and in Pittencrieff House Museum. Several car parks are located around the park perimeter (paid parking), with the closest on Chalmers Street.

Open year-round, but Scottish weather can be unpredictable so pack waterproofs and layers. Spring brings peacock displays and blooming gardens, summer offers the longest visiting hours, autumn features beautiful foliage, and winter can be magical but cold. Some events like summer concerts and Christmas celebrations happen seasonally.
