Entry costs around £7.50 for adults with children under 5 free (prices subject to change). Free parking is available in the town car park just a short walk away. There are no cafes on site, but the historic town of Linlithgow has several family-friendly options nearby.

The palace is open year-round but winter visits (November to March) have shorter daylight hours and can be quite cold and windy. Summer months offer special family events and living history performances. Check ahead as the palace occasionally closes for filming or special events.
