Visit on weekday mornings in late May or early September for the smallest crowds and pleasant temperatures. Mid-June through July brings the warmest weather but largest crowds, especially weekends. Arrive right at opening to maximize your time before afternoon crowds peak around 1-3pm.

Separate admission required from Dollywood theme park (combo tickets available). Life jackets provided free of charge. Outside food and drinks allowed (except glass containers). Cabana rentals available for families wanting a home base. Parking is shared with Dollywood and involves a tram ride to the entrance.

Open seasonally from late May through early September, weather permitting. The park is closed during fall, winter, and early spring. July and August are peak season with extended hours. Check the website for specific opening dates as they vary yearly. Early and late season visits may have cooler water temperatures but significantly smaller crowds.

The Old Mill Restaurant (5 minutes away) offers Southern comfort food in a historic setting with a kid-friendly menu. For quick eats, Mellow Mushroom Pigeon Forge serves creative pizzas that please picky eaters and is just down the parkway from Splash Country.
