Visit early morning (7:00-9:00 AM) or late afternoon for the best wildlife viewing and cooler temperatures. Fall through spring (October-April) offers the most comfortable weather, and weekday mornings are significantly less crowded than weekends.
Admission is free, making this an excellent budget-friendly family outing. Parking is available on-site, and the boardwalk trails are ADA-accessible and stroller-friendly, though there are no food vendors or restaurants within the preserve.
