Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve offers families an incredible opportunity to explore 162 acres of coastal wetlands via elevated boardwalks that wind through diverse habitats. Kids can spot herons, egrets, alligators, and countless other wildlife species while learning about the vital role wetlands play in our ecosystem through hands-on educational programs at the Learning Center.

Admission is free, making this an excellent budget-friendly family outing. Parking is available on-site, and the boardwalk trails are ADA-accessible and stroller-friendly, though there are no food vendors or restaurants within the preserve.

Open year-round, but fall through spring (October-April) offers the most comfortable temperatures for walking the trails. Summer visits are possible but can be hot and humid, plan for early morning visits. Migratory bird season (spring and fall) provides exceptional bird-watching opportunities.
