Green Spring Gardens offers 31 acres of beautifully maintained gardens and natural woodland paths perfect for introducing children to nature. With its historic manor house, wildlife viewing opportunities, and peaceful picnic spots, families can enjoy a leisurely outdoor adventure that combines education and exploration in a stunning setting.

1. 1.Visit the demonstration gardens near the entrance first - kids love the vegetable and herb gardens where they can see (and smell!) what's growing seasonally

Spring (April-May) offers spectacular blooms and mild weather, while fall brings beautiful foliage. Weekday mornings are quietest, with fewer school groups. Arrive right when they open at 9:00 AM for the most peaceful experience and better wildlife spotting.

Admission to the grounds is FREE, though donations are welcomed. Limited free parking is available on-site. No food is sold at the gardens, so bring snacks and water, especially for younger children.

The gardens are stunning in spring (peak blooms April-May) and fall (colorful foliage October-November). Winter visits offer a peaceful experience though fewer blooms. Check their website for special seasonal events like the popular spring plant sale and holiday wreath-making workshops.
