Entry is completely free, making this an excellent budget-friendly activity. There are no on-site facilities or cafes, so bring water and snacks. The reserve is accessible by public transport (tram 26 to Hirschstetten), though paths may be challenging for strollers in wetter conditions.

Spring migration season (April-May) brings the most diverse bird species. Summer offers lush greenery but can be buggy. Autumn migration (September-October) is excellent for bird watching. Winter visits are possible but colder and less active wildlife-wise. Some guided programs may have reduced schedules during winter months.
