Visit during summer months (November to March) for warmest weather and calmest seas. Weekday mornings offer the most space and tranquility, while weekends draw larger crowds. Late afternoon provides beautiful sunset views but cooler temperatures.

There are no entrance fees, but parking is limited and can be challenging during peak times. Basic public restrooms are available, but no changing facilities, showers, or food vendors, so come fully prepared with all supplies.

Best visited during South African summer (November through March) when temperatures are warmest. Winter months (June to August) can be windy and cold. Lifeguard services are typically available during peak summer season and school holidays only.

The Clifton Cafe at the parking area offers takeaway snacks and drinks. For a sit-down meal, head to Camps Bay (5 minutes away) where The Codfather or Paranga Restaurant offer family-friendly dining with ocean views and kids' menus.
